I have a portable vcr (vcr-in-a-bag). Is there an adapter or device that can be attached so DVD movies can be used?

No, but you can purchase portable DVD players. Many laptops also have DVD players built in.

That is a great question! I too have the portable VCR in a bag...as well as a portable DVD with monitor! I know I can hook up the DVD player to a TV! I betcha I can hook it up to the Video in a bag too! I'll have to try it out!

I'm not sure I understood the question. I thought you were looking for an adaptor for DVDs like you can get to play a CD through your car cassette deck. There is nothing you can hook up to a portable (or any other) vcr that will allow you to play DVDs. Nor is there anything you can do to record from a DVD on to a videotape(DVD outputs are copy protected).

It's really hard to answer that without looking at your player. If the TV portion has inputs, then yes you probably can hook up a portable DVD player. If it doesn't have any than you are out of luck. My old tv/vcr for the car had inputs just like a regular tv, so I could hook things up to it.

You can, but you have to hook it up to the monitor directly, not to thru the VCR. If you go thru the VCR the Macrovision encoded DVD's (virtually all DVD's nowadays) will be unviewable.
