Well the news is not good. No room at the hospital. It's packed to quote the doctor. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, but I keep telling myself everything will happen as it should.

They asked me if I wanted to be rescheduled for tomorrow and I said no. Two reasons for that. 1 - It's September 11th and I don't want the little guy to have that for a birthday, and 2 - it's a different doctor. So, I have a dr appointment this Friday and am being rescheduled for next Wednesday (the actual due date). I just hope this guy isn't too big by then.

aww, I'm sorry Jen. But it's true, the little guy might just surprise you and chose to come out on his own. And I think your reasons for not wanting to be rescheduled for tomorrow are very valid. Hang in there, now that you're all ready, you can just relax, and join us in chat tonight,

Don't even think it! Up here they would ship you off to another hospital - if you are lucky they even offer up an ambulance ride to get there. (I used to work with a girl who had her hubby drive her 30 minutes to the next hospital when she was turned away by her local one)

We have far too much on Jen here for that too happen!

Good call on tomorrow's date. For your Friday appt, will the dr be checking on your dilation and to see if you are effaced? That is what did me in... I had an appt in the AM, the doctor was messing around up in there and by noon time, the contractions began. I'll cross my fingers for you and hope for the same!

She'll probably check me again. Last Friday I was 2cm and 75% effaced. I really don't know if she'll strip the membranes or not. She might leave that up to me. And since she won't be on call this weekend, I don't know how I feel about another doctor delivering me.

I'm on the schedule again for next Wednesday, but the same thing can happen then as it did today.

I think I am so attached to her delivering me again because she was so great with Ethan. Two contractions and he was out. Emma was with a different doctor from a different practice and the experience was.... well let's just say I don't want to go through that again.

Physically I feel fine. Mentally.... I have a terrible stress headache.

I think cake will help.
