DVC's booked for week of Jan. 28 thru Feb. 3?

I have read a few places that there are not many Disney DVC rooms left at resorts for the last week of Jan. to first part of Feb. Is that true and why? I thought it was supposed to be as slow as Sept. during this week. Does any have any Info? Thanks

I don't know why it's so booked up, but we were there last year the last week of January and it wasn't busy at all. Our next trip will be the first week of Feb. (we arrive the 3rd), and I'm hoping it's the same.

Travel & tourism to Florida is on an upward trend. January 28-February 3 isn't all that far away and many people plan farther ahead than 10-12 weeks in advance for a WDW vacation. It will still be a relatively uncrowded time for the parks.

I can still remember when you had to book at least 2 years in advance if you wanted to stay in a Disney resort. (Yes, I am older than dirt, LOL).
