I'm especially interested in those of you who may have eaten at Olivia's (there or take-out) or got it from a supermarket. Come to think of it, anyone eat at Goods to Go? If you ate at Olivia's, what did you have? Was it crowded? Anyone get take-out from Olivia's, either a meal or a whole Thanksgiving dinner? If you ordered a dinner from a supermarket, how did that work out? I'm trying to get ideas for Thanksgiving 2005. Thanks.

I don't think I am much help, we cooked, but I brought everything with us, as we drove down. We did get our apple pie slices from Goods. They are basically the take out for Olivia's.

Lots of people have had full dinners delivered from an outside source. Don't know who does it though. If you are torn as to cook or eat out, I vote for cooking. It really was not that much work, and it gave me alone time, while DH had the kids at the pool.

We were at OKW. Not much help here though. We had PS for Chef Mickey's. It was an excellant meal, however. There were 12 of us total, so I didn't really see how we could all eat in the villa. My sis and her crew were staying off-site at a MVC.

We ate at Tony's Town Square and it was tasty. It was $20.99 for adults and $9.99 for children but our kids wanted pizza and cheese ravioli! I really wanted Liberty Tree Tavern but didn't call until 12:15 pm 90 days out. After waiting for 45 minutes, I was told no PS left at LTT. Next time I will try and call earlier!

Just back from Thanksgiving at OKW,

We preordered a precooked meal from Publix that was good. It fed 14-18 people and it had a cooked turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, gravy, rolls, and cranberry relish. It did not come with any veggies or pies. Cost was $60. We picked it up Wednesday and got it ready in the resort on Thursday and had enough leftovers for lunch on Friday. DH loves to do that; I would prefer to go out and forget that work while on vacation! LOL!!!

We also got the Publix turkey for 7-8 for $35. It was OK. Not as good as years past and everyone thought the gravy was awful. I wish I had some flour in the villa to whip up a batch myself. We had it before and my DH remembered that last time the gravy was nasty too. Even my DS age 9 refused it and actually washed off the gravy from the turkey. There was plenty of food and once again I used just about every plate and bowl the villa had in its cupboards. Being away from relatives on holidays is sad so bringing some traditional customs helps and the kids love it.
We were at the brand new super Target on 192 and they had precooked turkeys dinners available too. They were all sold out for pre orders on Tuesday. Next year we might try them. I asked Publix how many boxed dinners they sold and they said 68. I asked Super Walmart and it was 50. That is what they ordered and had to stop taking orders.
Another successful Thanksgiving at OKW! We enjoy this time of year so much!
