We are staying at Kidani Village. Does anyone know if the washing machines are traditional ones or High Efficiency(HE)?

I want to make sure that we bring the right laundary detergent.

What size unit will you be in? The one in our 2 BR unit was a regular machine and they provided a one load size box of All detergent. I don't remember what the ones were in the laundry room but think they sell the one load boxes of detergent there for $1-$1.50 so we just bought whatever it was and didn't pay enough attention I guess.

The past few times at Kidani they are all using regular soap and they are stacked machines so you cannot do large loads. You will ned to bring your own fabric sheets although I'm sure you can buy them in the laundry room.

We are stying in a 1 BR Savannah view.

My wife and girls have sensitive skin, so we want to make sure we have something that won't irritate their skin.

I was looking at the 10 oz Method Free and Clear and then I also saw that Purex makes the gel packs.

So we are looking for something that we can use and will be easy to pack. The box we are shipping down is pretty much full, so whatever we decide, it looks like it's going in a suit case.

The large machines in the laundry room are not HE but rather a large capacity machines so no need to worry about what type of soap you bring. :thumbsup2
If you are thinking of the Purex product try the Purex 3 in 1 sheets. They are flat and take up very little room. Easy to use.

A number of members are now bringing the Purex Complete 3-In-1 Laundry Sheets.
Please be very very careful with these. I ruined several dress shirts with them, and was never able to get the stains out (even after following the "help line's" directions). I no longer use them, even though I've never had a problem with anything other than those shirts. Here's a summary of the problem---not my page---and it does seem to be limited to "work clothes" for some reason:

We just bought Purex (free and clear) gel packs. We had friends that told us they used them at Disney.

The gel packs are a different product. The "spotting" issue is specifically with the 3-in-1 sheets.

Go buy some Lestoil - pour on the stains. Will take those "oil" stains right out. I no longer use stain removal sprays - just put the lestoil in spray bottles.

Hope it helps.

Hey! My work shirts have the exact same stains! My family uses those sheets and I thought that I kept sitting in something weird. I just sent this site to my wife and we are done with those sheets.

Darn. I guess Purex sheets are doomed to be the laundry detergent of the future like Dippin' Dots will always be the ice cream of the future.

Gelpacks it is! I suppose they won't let me carry these on the plane, though...

How big are the actual gelpacks? Bigger than the dishwasher gelpacks?

The gel packs are about the size of an ice cube that you'd get froma standard ice cube tray. So yeah, about the size of the dishwasher packs.
