DVC wanna be in Washington State

I have been considering the option of becoming a DVC member for a couple of years now... and have come to the conclusion this would make a lot of sense for my family to do - as our Disney habits do not seem to be slowing down and MAN is it expensive! However, when I went to request information from Disney - they responded that I am a resident of Washington State and they are precluded from calling me or sending me information. Does this mean I don't even have the option of joining just because of the state I live in?? Just when I was pretty much worked up to take the plunge too!

hi: this just means you have to be at wdw or hh or vb to sign up. evidently dvc isn't licensed yet to sell in the state of washington regarding the vwl. gee, i guess this means you have to make a visit to wdw or wait until they become licensed in your state. this, however, doesn't stop you from purchasing via resale.

We had the same problem. If you know someone that lives in a state DVC can sell to, you can have the info sent to them. However, we ended up purchasing at OKW from a re-sale. If you purchase via re-sale, residency is not an issue
