Hi all,

Where can I find info about the square feet of the different resort options? I'm especially keen to know the total sq. ft. of the 2 bedroom villa at the Beach Club.

Thank you.

The WDW DVC villas are all the same size, except OKW. OKW is beautiful, huge and comfortable, the rest are tiny, dark and cramped.

OKW Stu 390 1 BR 1005 2 BR 1410 GV 2375

HH Stu 455 1 BR 856 2 BR 1311 GV 2362

BW Stu 359 1 BR 712 2 BR 1071 GV 2142

Vero Stu: 375 1 BR 880 2 BR 1265 GV ****

VWL Stu 356 1 BR 727 2 BR 1083 GV none

this is from various posts over the years.

Perhaps someone could add the Beach Club info to this.

bc studio 356, 1-bed 719, 2-bed 1075

I happen to love the BCV - hope you have a pleasant trip.

I have been in the Grand Villas at Vero. they occupy 2 floors and are also very large. Does anyone know the SQ FT?

I doubt the square footage for the VB cottage includes the FOUR (yes 4) very spacious decks. All the decks truly are awesome, each in their own way.

And the 2nd floor of the Beach Cottage has wraparound windows, so the place feels even bigger than it is.

The VB Beach Houses have a unique layout- different than at OKW, BWV and HH. All bedrooms are on the first floor and the kitchen, living room and WONDERFUL deck (with a great view of the ocean) is accessed from the second level.

Here is another recent discussion about DVC accommodation sizes.

Enjoy!

I am amazed that a 1 bed room unit at OKW is almost the same size as a 2 bed room unit at BWV, VWL and BCV.

Rich, what may be cramped to you, may be paradise to another.
I think all DVC properties are wonderful. Remeber, different strokes. Diversity makes the world go round. Think outside a tiny box.

While that may be true in many situations, I think I was being thoroughly objective.

BWV two bedroom units sleep eight people. The dining room table seats two. I call that cramped, I don't think many would disagree.

Pulling out the sleeper sofa in the living room, fills up the whole living room, it makes it difficult to get by to the second bedroom, it is very cramped.

This unit that sleeps eight has a kitchen big enough for one, cramped yet again.

Just like any other business, Disney has tried to place the maximum number of units in a minimum amount of space around a desirable location. (Ever SEE a NYC apartment? - How about the cost?)

I happen to have a beautiful, large, four bedroom home that cost us 85 grand. It would go for 250 grand closer to NYC. (We are about 3 hours away) I happen to live in the country (but only 10 minutes away from many stores, etc) We made this choice because we like the area, and the housing cost let us get a lot more for our money. We give up being close to large metropolitan areas. Not everyone would want to live here, and I think we'd have few happy friends if we felt it necessary to go on and on about our HUGE house and tiny mortgage around our friends from Philly. We can both be happy with the choices we've made.

My point? Living quarters are smaller and more expensive the more desirable the location. Its just a matter of business - and businesses do it because they can. As consumers, we choose what is important to us. We pay big for location and typically get much smaller accommodations for our money.

OKW owners can go on and on about how big the units are, but that won't bring them closer to the parks. BWV, BCV and VWL can go on about location, but they won't be as big as OKW units.

So we pick what is important to us individually and be happy for everyone. Rich can spend the entire day milling around in his grand villa with 8 or so others, all standing together in the kitchen while my family is walking to Epcot enjoying the park! Everyone is HAPPY then, right?

If you are comparing the WDW units BC/BW/WL to OKW then yes it is cramped. If you compare the units on their own merit, then probably cozy would come to mind.

I do have to disagree that the nonOKW units are dark. And naturally a DVC resort that has internal hallways is going to give up some room space.
