How are the signals around WDW? I'm thinking of using the cell phone vs. 2 way radio. My kids knows our cell phone number by heart. My daughter was briefly lost in DL 2 years ago, she was able to tell a CM my cell phone number and that's how they found us.

We were there in Aug. and got very good coverage with Verizon.

You will have no problems and you will not have to say , "Can you here me now".

Our verizon phones worked very well in all the parks and while out on the Oak trail golf course.

Our verizon phones worked very well thru-out all of disney. they are great for keeping track of your kids. no more worrying about someone getting lost. :)

very good, I have used Sprint, and AT&T and I can tell you I think Verizon is the best!!

I found that verizon coverage was great in the parks and at the Boardwalk Inn. I did find, however, that there were a couple of spotty areas at the CBR resort (particularly in our room location in the Jamaica building area) where we could not get coverage. Otherwise, it was good though. Verizon is probably the best coverage network-wise.

Also, I found that I got a message that I was out of network on my phone screen. If you have a national plan though, Disney does not seem to be one of the areas that would affect the cost of your bill. :D

We were also fine in the parks, but problems in our room at OKW (our provider is Verizon).

Thanksgiving week 2002

excessive use while there keeping track of 6 others with phones. Did notice out of network 2 times didn't pay that much attention, cost $1.29 when the bill arrived.

I will second the comment that Verizon coverage at Old Key West is spotty at best. I could not make a call from our room in Building 30. I had to walk out towards the bus stop in order to get enough signal strength to complete a call.

Never had any trouble in the parks with my Verizon phone.

They seem to do well in the parks but coverage in the resorts is a bit iffy indoors. Usually need to be outside.

We did off site and OKW this summer with Verizon. We found very few areas where we did not have a signal. It was much better than the year prior when we used two way radios.

We'll be using our Verizon phones this year for the first time. Good to hear they work well :)

They also have Disney ringtones & wallpaper available :) :Pinkbounc I'm working on updating my phone!

I have used ATT and Cingular at WDW. They worked fine in the parks. It seems most cell phones do not work well in the resort rooms. Outside seems to be fine for most. I did find bad areas with both services also.

We have Verizon, too. We had no problem at the Polynesian from inside the room. But the CBR was terrible. I had to wander around outside to find a place where I could get coverage.

No problem in the parks though.
