DVC use/reservation

This is prob a bad question but I am planning a trip and I am about to close on our first DVC, my use month is sept and the vacation is in Oct, I assume I will have to bank the 2012 points and then use them for Oct, is that correct ?

Yes, with a Sept UY if you want to use 2012 points (valid for stays from Sept 1 2012 to Aug 31, 2013) but aren't going until Oct 2013 you will have to bank them into your 2013 UY and they will be valid for any stays from Sept 1, 2013 thru Aug 31, 2014.

Also, when you book your October trip, be sure to specify that you want to use your banked points first. Normally, the member services agents will do this automatically (or at least ask you), but it doesn't hurt to be specific.

I had another question but reread one of the post and it answered that question, thank you again for the help
