DVC trip insurance

Hi I am looking for information on the DVC trip insurance(theinfo that come with a reservation) I looked on the site and can't find anything. Has anyone used it? when do you have to sign up by? I would appreciate any info. Thank you. carol

I got that I am looking for more detailed info. It said on flyer to go to member site for info and can't find anything. I boked a trip for next March and wonder how long before to purchase insurance , what it covers etc.

I am wondering the same things as the other poster. What are the acceptable reasons for cancelling a trip and restoring the points? We have a trip planned for October (made reservations in November). I just found out I am pregnant with our first child and I will be 30 weeks along at the end of the trip. I am not sure at this point whether or not to plan on going. If we do plan on going, I am concerned that something might happen with my pregnancy that would prevent us from going.

I believe that you would be reimbursed aound $5 per point by the insurance company, there is no point restoration.

I think it would be more attractive if it restored the points but unless it's a trip close to the end of your use year, I don't think $5 per point is enough to make it worth it. I'd rather try to reschedule.
