Looking for comments on the DVC Suggested TravelEx Insurance that covers the entire use year. Has anyone bought this and did you find it helpful if/when you had to use it?
100 bucks for the year! does it cover every dvc trip during that use year? Does it cover if more than 1 contract at different resorts? Does it cover pandemics?
I posted what is covered on the link above. It however is by state and what may be covered in your state maybe denied coverage in another.I am curious, how exactly does this insurance work? (Sorry if that is a dumb question.). If you have to cancel what does it cover, points? Out of pocket expenses?
I guess the question being asked here, and it's the same question I have, is that since points don't have a dollar value, what if anything is being covered here? Like, if I spend 200 points to book a vacation and then have to cancel for a covered reason... What exactly is the payout? Because I looked at the policy and as I read it it doesn't actually appear to cover anything except incidental expenses (like airfare).
From what I read I think it covers up to 1 use years maintenance fees for each policy. I noticed one small part on the policy that mentioned it. So I would think if you cancelled a trip that was covered and used 200 points, they cover whatever you paid maintenance fees on those 200 points. I think it would get more confusing if a trip consisted of banked or borrowed points because they are technically from a different use year. I wish they made it a little easier to see what they cover on the vacation club costs. I attached where it says they cover main maintenance costs
NO - You would need to take out the DCL Cruise Ship Insurance. You may be able to purchase a policy through this vendor but I am not sure.Does it apply to DCL too?
