We have a breakfast scheduled at the GF at 9 a.m. and we're staying at the AKL Jambo House. We are trying to figure out the best way to get to the GF for breakfast. We could bus to the MK and then monorail over, but that will take extremely long time. We could call a taxi (the option I thought of) or the other option I thought of was if we could ask the concierge if we could get a DVC member to take us over in one of their vans. I didn't know if they did this or not. I know we had a van come pick us up prior to buying in to go visit the models and all that...

Let me know, what if anything you know about this...

It's on a Saturday in June. I can't think of the exact date. The 12th? I think that's right...

The DVC sales presentation vans normally do not shuttle members to/from resort for anything except sales. Your best option, I think, would be the taxi, unless you want to leave AKL extra early for the MK and use the bus/monorail option.

The problem I see is that the since buses begin their pickups about an hour before the park opens the only early entry on Saturdays in June is AK. You could catch a bus to AK then gamble that there is one returning to GF, or to the TC where you could catch a monorail. It's still rather iffy.

Your best bet is to take a cab.

The vans belong to the DVC sales center; they're used for bringing prospective members to the sales center at SSR for a tour, not for transporting members to theme parks, ADRs, etc. (With thousands of members on property at any given time, you can imagine how many vans they'd need. :))

DVC members use the same Disney transportation system as other resort guests; there aren't any additional transportation options just for members.

You can also take a boat from the MK to the Grand Floridian. That may be quicker.

Buses actually start running to the MK around 6:30 in the morning.

I'd go with the cab option. Gives you much more consistant results.
