Can you use the TIW discount in a participating resturant if you are just having drinks?

Sure can.

The discount on drinks is why it's better than the DDP. BTW, if you do the DDP you can use the TIW discount on the drink portion not covered.

TIW is also accepted at essentially all of the resort lounges. It does not work at the pool bars.

Not valid at any CS in Epcot. Only Theme Park with CS locations that offer a TiW discount are in the Animal Kingdom Park.

you can't use it at the cart outside Rose and Crown, but you can go inside and use it at the bar.

Dawa Bar in the AK outside Tusker House does not take TIW, at least last time I checked in March 2012. I think that is odd, since I consider it the lounge to Tusker House.
