DVC Ticket Discount

Is there a ticket you can get that is just for waterparks fun and more? And is there a DVC discounted one? We will be there in Oct and DH gets free military 5 day hopper with WPF&M and we are getting the kids ones really cheap but I have a regular AP and need to some sort of ticket to get into the waterparks and disneyquest the cheapest way possible. Does it cost alot to upgrade my AP to PAP with DVC Discount? I bought original AP with DVC Discount.

I think that the upgrade from AP to PAP is about $110.00. Depending how many days you plan to visit those other attractions, it may or may not pay out.

DVC discounted one day ticket for the water parks (with tax) was about $45.00. I am not sure about Disney Quest. But, if you plan to visit more than twice, then I think it would pay off.

The only drawback (and someone can correct me if I am wrong), once you upgrade, is that you can only renew it as a PAP in the future.

My understanding is that when you upgrade, you pay the difference between the current price of your ticket (if it has been used). So, I would assume that you would pay the difference between the cost of a current DVC AP and a DVC PAP, which is $105.00 plus tax.
