DVC studio room likely location?

Thinking of renting points, will require a studio room (as 3 adults and a 5 year old), are we likely to be able to get anywhere? Would love BLT (210 points), or maybe AKV. Where are the studio rooms based in AKV? How long does it take to get to HS/MK from AKV on the Disney transport? Many thanks

I would remove the date from your post or the whole thread may disappear as it would appear you are seeking a rental outside of the rent trade borad.

Room are not concentrated in one area. There is studios all over the resorts.

It's going to be a tight squeeze with 3 adults/1 child in a studio, particularly at BLT.

It's about a 20 minute bus ride from AKV to MK. It's a long ride if you have to stand on the bus after a long park day but other than that, we find the transportation at AKV to be quite good.

Personally, I'd consider OKW since a studio there guarantees you 2 beds rather than a sleeper sofa because my adult children have complained loudly about how uncomfortable they are.

The farther out you book, the size of the resort, and time of year will determine your success. AKV is a 20-30 minute ride from the MK.

If you are looking for BLT best to book as soon as you know your dates. BLT studios, especially the value's go quickly, generally at the 11 month window. As PP mentioned, the studios are all over the resorts.

If you are specifically looking at AK (Kidani) the best areas are closest to the lobby area. The busses drop you of near the lobby and it can be a long walk to some of the room at the end of the loop. That being said, if you have a car and plan on driving it isn't really an issue since you can park underneath your room/section.

When we stay at AKV we generally bring a car as parking at the parks is free. However, the busses are pretty reliable and I think 30 minutes would be the longest you would be on the bus and then only if there is traffic.

We are looking for 12 nights in aug 2013 and are specific on our dates due to school hols and not hiring a car. Thanks for the threads.
