DVC stay then Cruise

My family, Myself, DH, DS 17, DS9 and my parents will be staying at our home resort Saratoga Springs then weve paid for a 3 night cruise on Disneys Wonder. My question is, can i leave our van at Saratoga and Catch a bus to the ship? Do i have to drive there, and if so what is the parking situation?

This will be our first cruise as well as my parent first cruise. This will most likely be our last family vacation with the grandparents and I want to make this very special for my mother. Any suggestions, tips or heads up regarding the cruise would be great!

The bus isn't free so you'd be better off driving and paying for parking for your van. Parking is right across the street from the cruise terminal and is very easy to get to and from. I think the cost has gone up since our last cruise in Dec 07 so I'll let someone else answer that, but I'm sure it is still WAY cheaper than paying Disney for transfers for all of you.

it is about $60 return for the bus from WDW to the port and back again each

parking lot is right beside the termilal and about $12-$15 per day to park there
you drive right up and there are porters there to help unload your bags and take them away for you not to be seen again until they reach your stateroom
then you go and park your car across the raod at the parking lot

We have done a prestay at SSR before a cruise a couple of times. We don't use Disney's bus service, because it comes around lunch time and we like to be on the ship by that time. We hire a car service to take us (I check the boards before the trip and see what other members are recommending for a car service).

Technically, you are not allowed to leave your vehicle at SSR while you cruise. If you take the DCL bus, it will cost the 6 of you $420 round trip. Parking is $15/day for 3 days = $45. If you have two cars, then $90. Much cheaper than the bus. Getting to the port is very easy. Take 528 straight to the port.

You cannot leave vehicles at the WDW resorts once you check out. Your parking pass in your window will show the dates you are allowed to park there. As others mentioned, you can either drive your car to the port, turn in your rental car at the port (in some cases), or hire a town car to take you there. Disney bus transport is also available for cost.

Parking at PC is now $15 but if you stay before our after the cruise in PC you can leave your car. We are on the Wonder in Oct and staying at Radison at the Port then after the cruise doing AK.
