Hi Everyone,

We are staying at 3 different DVC resorts starting July 17 over 10 nights. Starting with a 3 night cash stay at Riviera (Deluxe Studio-Standard view), 2 nights in 1 BR at OKW near hospitality house, then 5 nights in a 2 BR at BWV in Garden/Pool view. The first three nights are just me and hubby, then my son gets there when we move over to OKW, then daughter/son-in-law join us as we move to the 2 BR at BWV. We are celebrating my 60th Birthday, my son's belated graduation (Masters Degree during COVID) and my daughter's pregnancy with our first grandchild.

Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on specific rooms at the resort to request. I have never been to Riviera and super excited to go. Thanks all.

Sounds like fun. You won't have a ton of flexibility regarding room location, as you have a standard view at RIV and are already near hospitality house at OKW (something we really like!). Just something I wanted to remind you - most of the OKW buildings don't have elevators. I don't know if you care about that, but if doing steps is an issue, you might ask for a lower floor. For us steps are not an issue, and we actually prefer to get a top floor, with no one above us! We would ask for the same top/high floor at BC. But all families have different preferences. All 3 resorts are really nice - enjoy!

While Riviera isn't a huge resort from one end to the other, we do prefer to be on the east end of the resort. All the food options are on that side of the resort and the east elevators seem closer to the lobby as well. The west side of the building is closest to the Skyliner though, and the standard rooms on that end may get you a straight-on view of the Epcot fireworks (or none at all). Just another choice you might want to think about.

On our stay at Riviera back in May, we requested higher floor on the east end of the building (we were in a standard studio). Our room was on the 6th floor fairly close to the east elevators. It was a good location with a nice view of the front of Epcot.

Not specific rooms, but on your switchover days even if you have checked in online go to the front desk of the resort you are checking out of and make sure they check you out, then when you get to the new resort make sure you swing by front desk so they'll "prioritize" your room. When we checked into BLT a few days ago we had our room by 11am and today we switched to Riviera and had it by Noon. We also tell them we don't have a preference of room request so I'm sure that helps, but we're happy as long as we get what we used our points on.
