DVC Safari Spectacular reservations????

I've been trying to call Member Services for a reservation to this event in September. Reservations opened today at 9am EST. They even have a special option to press ONE for this event. Right after I press ONE, I get a busy signal. UGGGGGGHHHHH!!! Really? Not even put on hold???

Anyone else trying for the Safari Spectacular??

I'm attempting as well, but I'm not surprised at the busy signal. It's Disney's way.

IT has not loaded the event into the system, so it can't be booked yet.

I am incredulous and incensed right now.

I called at 9 am and I got through. They told me they are not taking reservations yet due to some problem. She said I should call back later. I asked when she said maybe this afternoon. She didn't even have a time to give me!

I understand there will sometimes (or in the case of Disney, often) be technical problems, but it is simply bad customer service to not have taken my name and phone number and offer to call me back when the system is up, to hold my place in line so to speak. So if I call back this afternoon and the event is filled up, I lose.

Disney has fallen a long way from it's glory days and I have just about had it. And yes I know they don't care and some other sucker will buy my points and take my place.

I was hold for 20 min and I was able to get booked for Sept 27.

Same thing here. Unbelievable. So some get the
reservation but others are told it is down?

All I get is a busy signal. Doesn't matter if I choose option 1 for AK event or 2 for everything else. I even tried not making a selection and still was forwarded to a busy signal!

Kept getting a busy signal every time I tried for 34 minutes (trying since 9am EDST). Just now finally got through to the on-hold music (Small World theme) and the continuous notification that all trip planners are currently planning trips for other guests and to save time go online to book your dining reservations. If only I *could* book this online. It would make it so much easier! Oh well, here's to hoping I get through soon. Need tix for 9/6.

All I get is busy signals. I've been trying for 45 minutes now. My log says I've called well over 100 times!

Dont give up! I also finally got past the busy signal after 64 tries. I was never so happy to hear " It's a small world".
