DVC Room Upgrades?

So we are going in two weeks (July 21-26) at BWV in a studio. I want to get a 1BR, but as always I am point poor and I have reached by borrowing limit with the new 50% rules (which IMO should be waived for these first few months since there is CRAZY availability right now, literally almost every single room type everywhere is open for a trip two weeks from now.). Has anyone ever been offered a "cash" upgrade at time of check in? I know it would be rare for rooms to even be open for an upgrade, but clearly this time is an exception to the norm. The other option I would have is to have some points transferred to me (I think I would need 60ish) to make a 1BR reservation.

DVC room upgrades happen only when the room type you reserved is no longer available. As far as I am aware, they cannot turn a point reservation into one partly for cash via an upgrade. Also be aware that if you ask for an upgrade at check-in, you may get it and then a few days later be surprised to find out the extra points applicable to the upgraded room have been withdrawn from your account.

They cannot mix cash and points. If the points difference is within the OTU points limits you could call now and book yourself up, if you haven't used your OTU for the year.
