dvc room discount

Has anyone booked the weekend of Dec 7,8 at SSR and received the dvc discount? Also can someone tell me again (just to be sure) if I am using points for the weekdays and cash for the weekend I MAY be able to link those reservations and possibly not have to move right? Thank you for your help.

IF you are able to reserve the cash nights through MS, the reservation will be linked and you will not have to move or check out and back in again between the points and cash portions of your reservation.

If you make the cash reservation through CRO/WDWTC, you can request to keep the same room, but it is not guaranteed. At a minimum, you will have to go to the Front Desk and check out and back in again between the points and cash portions of your stay. They do try to keep you in the same room if they can.

we made a points/cash reservation all through member services and they weren't going to allow us to stay in the same room and that was after we were guaranteed both at booking and on check-in . If I hadn't went up to the front desk about another matter we would never have known what they were about to do

Didn't they give you keys for the entire time? I've used the member discount 2 or 3 times and each time my keys showed the linked dates. For example, we did Fri & Sat on member discount and points Sun to Thurs nights. The keys showed Friday to Friday.
