DVC retail

I have a question for you DVC veterans. My question is why is there no availability for some of the villas for DVC points, yet you can see their availability on retail sites like expedia?

Because DVC keeps a small percentage of inventory for themselves. And I would guess because SSR is not sold out, DVC still owns those points and they are available to book.

I'm actually talking about the Beach Club, Boardwalk, and Wilderness villas. If Disney does not sell those rooms, will they be used to accommodate waitlists?

Because members traded their points out for those resorts to stay elsewhere and not at a DVC resort. They may or may not give the points to DVC to use.
