DVC Ressie question...

We currently have a ressie for the week after *** thru ***at ***. I know we have a month before to cancel. If by chance we decide to not go between now and a month from now, can we rent it out? How do I know what the going price would be per point? Is this permitted? We have never done this before. BTW, it is for *** a ***. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if the mods will check in here.....but 30 days and closer to departure you can advertise on the rent/trade forum. Anytime prior to that you can't but you could cancel and get the points back in holding then you could rent out those at a later date. Of course you would need to follow the holding point rules. Now as far as cost or what to charge, that would be completely up to you and how fast you want to move the reservation. Rentals tend to fetch around $10 a point, although I wish it were higher. So if your 1 bedroom took 100 points figure $1000.....maybe start at $12pp though. Again it goes to where you feel comfortable price wise...good luck.

You can not post it or offer by any means on the DIS until you are 30 days or less from check-in. At that time, you may post it on the DVC R/ Board as a Reservation for Rent thread.
