DVC Ressie/Magic Band/Ticket Question - First Time Doing, need help :)

We’ll be staying for the first time using our new DVC membership. We have purchased Annual Passes for ourselves and our other guests purchased their park hopper tickets online. I tied all of the tickets to our DVC reservation/Magic Bands. My question is once we get to the resort, what do we do? I have all the pass vouchers. Will our Magic Bands automatically work or is there another step I have to take? I know we will have to go to a ticket window to get our real Annual Passes but do we have to do that before the bands will work/let us into the parks? What about our other guests with regular tickets?

You need to go to guest services to get your AP's activated and get your physical plastic AP cards that you use for parking and shopping/dining discounts. Your AP's must be activated before you can enter a park. Your guest's with regular disney tickets should be good to enter a park without going to guest services. I say should because a couple of weeks ago, my Mom tried to enter MK with her magic band that was tied to a 7 day ticket that I had entered into MDE months ago. The turnstyle did not recognize her ticket. Thank goodness I had brought the actual ticket with us and a trip to guest services fixed her ticket/magic band issue.

You also need to bring your IDs for anyone 18 and over along with the AP vouchers.

The whole activation thing allows ticketing to make sure you are entitled to the DVC discount. You do want to be sure to bring your DL and DVC cards to make it easier.
