DVC Resorts During Chirstmas-Reservations

I know there has been a major run on reservations for the 11 month window. Being a new DVC member, I was wondering how difficult is it really to book a DVC resort past the start of the 7 month window. We were considering visiting during the first two weeks of December, but due to our work schedules we may not be able to make a true commitment until after the 7 month window starts (probably around June or July). Anyone have any insight, opinions, or ideas as to which resorts fill up first and what occupancy are available later in the year? Thanks.

You'll really want to book at 11 months and then try to switch. If you have to cancel, you can rent the points (if youcan't use them before they expire) or bank them (if they are not borrowed).

But if you think you are going then, I'd strongly suggest booking something at 11 months and then working from there.

I think that in June or July there will be room at SSR, maybe others as well. We have always booked our December trips 11 -10 months out, but I was able to get an additional BWV studio for 3 weekday nights beginning Dec. 19th at only 3 months out 2 years ago.
