Hey guys! This may seem like a silly question but... I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to take a Disney trip with me.. its my favorite place and I want him to enjoy it with me (For some reason hes not as gung-ho as I am!! )

Anyways every vacation we take it leads him to complaining about the bed and how his back is sore the entire trip from it.

He loves firm beds. Does anyone have any idea which DVC resort might have firmer beds? I am thinking worst case scenario the pull out bed might work for him but I'd like to sleep in the same bed haha

My top contender resorts are GFV (home resort) BLT, Poly and AKV Jambo...

Thanks guys!!

The most firm bed would be on the floor, as I think most DVC beds are the same. I do recall SSR Treehouse Villas having a harder bed than others, but that is not a scientific answer.

Haha thanks :) I found out that all the DVC resorts use Sealy Posturepedic, so I think what I will plan is trying to stay at the newer resorts which may have less use on the beds :)

We stayed at the BC in March and the bed was so worn that you could see the body impressions on the mattress - we probably should've asked for a replacement because my back was killing me by day 2.

I would suggest staying at a newer resort (VGF or PVB) or one that has recently replaced the mattresses. VWL was rehabbed last year. I have seen pictures of BWV being rehabbed right now. I believe BCV is either going through a rehab right now or will be later this year.

We had a terrible mattress at BCV a few years back. It was easily the worst mattress I have ever been in. I can sleep almost anywhere, but that mattress didn't belong in a 1 star motel. They were in the process of swapping out the mattresses at the time. We saw them changing them on a lower floor. Our room likely had the mattress replaced the day we checked out. Since that stay, we try to avoid DVC resorts that aren't new or haven't had a rehab in awhile.

love hard beds - bad back - and OKW wins for me - got the best night sleep there on my crazy one night stay at several - BLT, AKV, BWV, Polyn - all had softer beds.

OKW has 2 queen beds not one - but no sofa. It is also the cheapest (sometimes AKV and BWV can be too) using points of the DVC resorts

try BWV since everything will be rehabbed by then - the beds should be great!

Your boyfriend is not alone, I too hunt for places with a fantastic bed. Vacations are not a vacation if you can't sleep and your back is hurting you. Thank you for all the feedback on staying at a newer rehab property.Your boyfriend is not alone, I to hunt for places with a fantastic bed.
