DVC Resale Buyers: pp paid vs asking

We just bought a 100 CCV contract resale. It was listed at $145 offered $140 and it was accepted. I was going to offer lower but didn’t want to risk it being taken. I am keeping an eye on the ROFR thread though to see if any get thru much lower.

That’s a fantastic SSR deal! Congrats! I haven’t gotten close to anything below 100. Best counter offer I got on SSR was 110 points with 110 2019 and beyond points for 106 plus dues

Thanks! I was really happy with how it went. It was finalized July 2018. We actually just got back from a trip using points for a2 bedroom at CCV for a week. I can’t wait for the SSR remodel! I hope it’s finished before summer 2020. Good luck to you! Btw I used Fidelity ( they’re a little slower but all went well )

We want Aulani which doesn't seem to ever be taken by Disney, so trying to get a good deal on that as we are in no hurry to buy.

BUYER TO RECEIVE 300 BANKED POINTS FROM THE 2003 ALLOCATION, 300 POINTS FROM THE 2004 ALLOCATION, 300 POINTS FROM THE 2005 ALLOCATION, AND ALL POINTS FROM CLOSING FORWARD.

3/17/06 Listed at $77 pp and bought at $77 pp. Old Key West (2042) 230 points.
BUYER TO RECEIVE 230 BANKED POINTS FROM THE 2004 ALLOCATION, WHICH NEED TO BE USED BY 12/1/06, 230 POINTS FROM THE 2005 ALLOCATION, 230 POINTS FROM THE 2006 ALLOCATION, AND ALL POINTS FROM CLOSING FORWARD.

2010-2015 - We purchased 3 small contracts (50 points or less) at VB and AKV; I think we paid asking given that the contracts were small, but I can't remember for certain.

2017 - We offered $80, which was rejected, so we paid asking price of $85pp for a loaded 120 point AKV.

2019 - we were only going to add on if we could get a deal, and we were all over the place on different resorts. Made low ball offers on several Aulani and Vero Beach contracts - all were rejected. Offered asking price $91pp on a 57 point OKW contract, taken by Disney ROFR. After getting that one taken while we were staying at the Poly, we decided to buy where our heart is and add on 100 points at PVB. A loaded contract was listed for $160, we offered $140, they countered at $145 and we accepted. (Points arrived in my account yesterday!)
