DVC Rental question--wait list?

I mean just a treat if you can get a DVC rental through Davids
Make it your first choice
Then make another reservation at a 2nd choice resort, with only a small returnable deposit, as long as the deposit can be returned at the 6 month mark.

Do David's rental with your DH or an over 21 persons name.
Do the 2nd choice resort in your DW or an over 21 parsons name.

If you can get the David's rental - then cancel the 2nd choice resort.
If you can not get your Davids rental - get your deposit back from him and
pay for the 2nd choice resort
I sent Davids an e-mail asking if they can not get the DVC rental requested at the 6th month mark,
If you can cancel the DVC rental request and get your $112 back from Davids and breaking the contract with eliminating the request for a DVC rental.

Either way - have the cash available for the Davids rental (and see if it covers the 2nd choice resort)
at the 12 month mark before you go to WDW.

It will be a win-win situation for you, if you can break the DVC contract with Davids.

Just wanted to update my post to say that we were wait listed for less than a month and have secured a reservation!! Is there a better feeling (outside of WDW) than seeing your bucket list resort booked in your MDE? I don't think so!!
