DVC Rental Points/ credit card

Hi we did Beach Club Villas 2 bedroom last week for January 2023, does anyone have any estimate of how long it'll take for them to find an owner for points.?

Also the day after we gave our 100 dollar deposit our credit card numbers were hacked. The only transaction we had with that card for that day and the day before was for dvcrental. On the bbb website someone else complained about it in 2020. Has anyone else had that happen. The website isn't exactly secure for putting info in compared to others. Next time I think we are just going to use a bank account card that has only the amount for the deposit and so they can't do it again.

The company has to wait for an owner who has BCV points to book that room more than 7 months from check in.

So, it will all depend if they get an owner who wants to use them. Once you get to 7 months prior, then any of the owners working with the company any can book it, assuming it is available.

I knew that piece I guess what I was wondering what maybe the average wait time for renters is these days at dvc rental. I know its different for every place but doing renting before pandemic compared to now things im sure are vastly different timelines and people giving out points.

We are using DVC rental store for our November trip. We are staying at 2BR in Kidani, so obviously won’t be same situation as you. We did our $100 deposit 12/19/21 and they found an owner for us to rent points from on 1/26/22, so about 10 months out. Good luck to you!
