DVC Rental Cancellation Question

Looking into renting DVC points from the DVC store. The cancellation policy is different for premium and non-premium resorts. Is the boardwalk a non-premium DVC resort?

I'm not sure exactly which site you are renting from; I'm assuming it isn't DVCStore.com. I believe you are referring to a site which can't be discussed on here. Though broadly speaking the strict cancellation policy is you cancel you lose your money. Some brokers allow you to buy insurance for a fee that reimburses you some of your money back based on when you cancel but certainly not all of it.

Also at all rental companies Boardwalk would be considered premium. Usually the non-premium are SSR, OKW, VB, and HHI.

DVC Store lists on their web site that they take a "full non-refundable payment either via paypal or by check" under the "Rent DVC" page on their web site. If you mean DVC Rental Store, they lists in their FAQs that reservations are non-refundable and all sales are final, but they do offer a "cancel for any reason" insurance that's an optional add-on. Of the brokers I am familiar with, I've never heard of one that has differing cancellation policies between premium and non-premium resorts, so I'm not sure where that's coming from? From what I know, owners would be out points if they don't bank by their deadline regardless of the resort, so I'm not sure why a resort being considered premium or not would make a difference in terms of the cancellation policy.

Unless you bought insurance through one of the brokers, the rental is non-refundable.
