DVC Rental and Free Dining???

I was just reading about renting points from DVC members (wasn't aware that you could do that)...my question is: If you rent from a DVC member during the free dining, are you allowed to get the free dining?

No. But the discount you get from rent might be greater than what you can save with FD if the DVC resorts are the where you really want to stay at.

We are DVC member and we are going to stay at POP for FD this time. I thought maybe we can check out the price for OKW with FD. I could not believe the numbers when I saw them online.

It is just me and my DS8 so we don't save much with the FD....we could probably get by not eating too much...especially if we had a kitchenette type set up in a DVC. Something to think about....thanks!

There is often discussion that DVC members/renters often book a room at a value and buy a one day pass for all people doing the dining plan. It might be worth looking into and if you haven't bought tickets yet, might be a good way to do it...even better since DVC doesn't do weekends economically, you could even stay at the value on the weekend. And you can now legally pool hop!

Not going to say if it's right or wrong, it's done and it's discussed often on the boards.
