DVC referral

Hi
If I have been referred by a current DVC owner and mention that during my upcoming DVC purchase, does it affect my price? What benefit does the referral person get?

Right now I don't believe there is anything that benefits a potential buyer by having a referral other than you might receive a $25 gift card if you specifically mentioned that promo when you spoke to the guide.

The person that referred you would qualify for the $25 gift card, and if you actually buy a membership they will receive a reward ranging from $200 to $1000 depending on how many people they have already referred this year (you are allowed to have five each calendar year).

In the future they may have a "Friends and Family" promotion where you would receive extra $$$ off with a member referral. They've done it previously and I feel like it will be available again this year, but don't have any information on the timing.

It depends on where you live. We live in Texas and due to State law we are not eligible for a referral reward. If the Member lives is a jurisdiction that does allow referrals, currently they get $200, you get nothing.

We have had 3 different Guides and our current Guide is a Senior Guide who is very knowledgeable and doesn't play games. We have purchased direct and resale. Our Guide knows this and has never said a negative word about our resales. That is why we continue to make referrals to him, he treats people the way that they should be treated.
