DVC Re-Sale Aggregator Site

Hello all!

I was researching if there was a website that aggregated all the different DVC Re-Sale website listings into one place, and it appears there may be a site out there doing this but it is in the "DIS FILTER". I am wondering if this is true, and if it is why this is the case.

I am only asking because I myself am looking to buy a DVC Re-Sale so I created website scrapers (of about 15 different resale sites) that populate an Excel spreadsheet once every day. I would be totally willing to host it on a public website for free so anyone could use it but if there is a reason this is not approved of, I won't bother! (all the listings would simply link back to the original Re-Sale website)

Yeah that’s what I mean lol. There seems to be a reason why such a site is not allowed but I’m just trying to figure out why.

I thought that site they stopped updating so yeah it might be time for a new source. And 15 sources wow! I always only went to 5 ish as the major players in the DVC resale game.

The only aggregator I was aware of stopped updating months ago. From what I've heard Disney does often identify these scrapers and ask them to cease although I have no idea if that was it or something else occurred because they don't seem to do it to all.

Under normal circumstances, I don't see a lot of value of doing this if you are a buyer. The seller lists at what they think is a fair price, you can counter, but if either of you set the price too low then the contract would get taken in ROFR anyway. Right now it's hard to tell what Disney is doing ROFR-wise, so maybe you could get a deal.

As a buyer, I could see a little value in that one reseller would charge a bigger commission than another, but still, you want your listing seen by the most eyeballs. Unless contracts are really selling fast, going with a more well-known, and yes, reputable reseller would be to your benefit. Just do that - seller or buyer.

This is absolutely not true and we appreciate if posters did not spread rumors that are not valid. There are many reasons that a business may be in the boards filter.

As a reminder, when one knows a business or website link is blocked, that site or topic not discussed, as it may result in warnings and infractions.

That is absolutely false. There are many resale broker sites which are discussed here regularly and links to those sites are welcome.

If there are business sites in the DIS word filter, it is for reasons besides sponsorship.
