I'm a DVC member staying off property, sorry I got a free week from my inlaws timeshare hard to pass up. Anyway do I still have to pay when I drive into parks because I'm not staying on property or can I show my DVC card and still park for free and also can I still receive free valet parking at the dvc resorts that provide it. Thanx for your help.

You must pay parking UNLESS you have an AP. If you have an AP, you can park for free. As a DVC member, you only get free parking when staying on-site.

DVC members used to be able to get free valet at the DVC resorts regardless of where they were staying but I'm not sure if that is still in effect.

Yes, if you are going to say Boardwalk for dinner, you can use your DVC member card to get free parking there. That doesn't get you into a park though.

DVC members still do get free valet at the DVC resorts, but I just got back and on my bill had charges for using valet at every DVC resort (2 from the AKL and I was there only once ). So if your staying on grounds make sure you check your bill before you leave so they can reverse the charges.

I am going to drop a suggestion to have them block this kind of charge in the system.
