As we are researching the DVC a question came up from my wife. As a DVC member, can you stay at the "hotel" sections of the resorts such as the Yacht Club/ Coronado springs/ etc or only at the designated DVC villas?

You can, but it's a waste of points. When we first bought into the DVC our son who was young at the time was "sad" that we weren't going to stay at the Poly any more. So just for the heck of it I looked at the points charts for the Delux Resorts and I think back then, it was something like 100 points just for a Saturday night. Don't quote me now; this was awhile ago!

BTW...the first time we walked into a 1BR at the Boardwalk, he said "forget the Poly Mom; this place is great". :lmao:

Plus you cannot stay on points at any hotel that is connected to a DVC resort, like BWI, BC, WL, AKL, CR and, soon, GC.
