Hi. I'm a Disney Veteran but a DVC newbie (just bought in January & had our welcome home booking cancelled)--

We re-booked for next February at the Riviera where we now own. Right now I have two separate bookings--one for 2 nights booked in a Standard Studio and then the second directly following for 3 nights booked in a Preferred Studio. We'd like to be able to get the Deluxe Dining plan for the second part of our trip (last 3 nights in Preferred). We enjoy indulging in eating our way through Disney at a Deluxe level, but more than 3 days of it is too much.

I just need reassurance that this will in fact be treated as a "true" split stay, as the accommodations are different (standard vs. deluxe studio) and the rooms are booked separately--and that Disney won't combine them into one booking, as they are all at the same hotel and booked using points from the same contract.

I'm not familiar with dealing with the DVC arm of Disney so any information or advice is appreciated!

Yes, when you do a split stay...different resorts or room types...you can indeed get the dining plans...whichever one you want...for that stay.

The only time they will not allow it and will combine is if it is the same room type at the same resort,

And just so you know, since you are a DVC newbie. You can make all your dining reservations at 180 days by calling MS. Today was my 180 day for a 9 day trip and we have a split stay. I made the first 6 nights of my dining reservations online. I then called MS for the last 3 nights since I wasn't allowed to online. This included getting a brunch at Cali Grille Reservation!

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the experienced voices. I thought I had set it up correctly to have it work out--but this was my only worry.
