DVC Presentation Question -- Older Resorts?

We own two contracts at BWV but have never done a DVC tour. So, when a friend asked what to expect when she takes the tour, I couldn't answer. Specifically, she and her husband really want to see OKW rooms. Are there "tour rooms" from the older resorts that are "sold out" (like OKW and BWV)? Will their tour guide show them these resorts if they ask / insist?

No, the DVC timeshare salesperson will NOT take them over to OKW and show them a villa.

However, if they go to OKW on their own -- or any other resort -- and go to the front desk and request to see a villa, they will be shown one if it's available.

If they like OKW (it's our favorite!), be sure they understand they can buy OKW resale for about HALF what Disney will charge them for OKW direct and about $90 per point less than what DVC will try to sell them BLT for.

That's what they're planning. They do want to go through the presentation, though, so they can see what they're getting into from Disney's perspective. (I'll be giving them the owner's perspective and the in's and out's of resales.) I've told them not to discuss resales with the DVC guides because it's not worth arguing / discussing the pros and cons of Disney versus resale with them. They need the sale. They'll do what they have to do discourage resales. There are some really good deals on OKW and SSR (their two favorite resorts) right now, so I think they'll be pleased. I'm sorry they won't get to see OKW, though.
