DVC Polynesian laundry

I heard that there are not a lot of machines at poly. Is the laundry you pay $3 for wash and dry owned by Disney? Is it $3 per load? I am staying at poly in April and know I will need to do laundry too.

I think there are 4 washers and 8 dryers for DVC at the poly. It's just that everyone seems to want to wash all at the same time, rather than scheduling a time during the day instead of going to a park.

We found the busyness to be always too - in a sea of studios DVC should have put a laundry room in all three buildings. That would definitely help.
