DVC Points?

i was looking at the point charts I am confused can someone please explain something to me. If I use my DVC points at SSR during adventure season Sun - Thurs is 12 points and Fri -Sat is 16 points. If I rent Weeky it is 90 points. Why can't I just book 2 different reservations Sun - thurs and one for Fri and sat and use 27 points instead of 90??

12 points per night Sun-Thur (12X5) plus 16 points per night Fri/Sat (16x2). (12x5) + (16x2) = 60+32 = 92.

You are talking about 2 reservations Sun through Thurs? How did you come up with 27 at this point?
12 + 12 + 16 = 40

12 points per night Sun-Thur (12X5) plus 16 points per night Fri/Sat (16x2). (12x5) + (16x2) = 60+32 = 92.

(12X5)*2 + (16 X 2) = 120 + 32 = 152

The OP thought it was 12 points total for 4 nights and 16 points total for the 2 weekend nights. They were asking if they booked those days as 2 reservations why it was cheaper than the week as one reservation. They didn't understand it was points per night.
