DVC Points for non-dvc resort at disney?

Are DVC points good at non-dvc resorts at disney and if so, does someone have a chart as to what the points at those resorts are?

The exchange out of system to non-DVC resorts at Disney (called the Disney collection for exchanging purposes) have fairly high point costs. They also change about every other year, because they must be re-negotiated with Disney and they are tied to the rack rate of a room at a given resort.

For example:
on night in the Contemporary tower will be anywhere from 40-103 ponts a night depending on the season etc. That's quite a high cost for a significantly smaller accommodations than say a 1 bedroom at OKW, which will range from 16-73 points a night (that higher end is for a weekend night holiday time).

Another thing to consider is the Disney Dining Plan. You cannot purchase the plan when using points at a non-DVC resort. This may or may not be important to you but I thought you should be aware of this limitation.

If you are talking about renting points for a non-DVC resort stay, don't bother - you won't come out ahead. If you are a DVC member, sometimes using your own points works - because you have the points and really want to stay at the Poly or because you are in a use it or lose it situation with your points and there aren't DVC resorts available when you want to travel - but its the occational situation.
