DVC Points-Can they be used Disneyland CA?

Yes you can use your DVC points at Disneyland CA resort hotels.
The points vary from resort to resort, view to concierge, and year to year. Unlike the DVC resorts, they are subject to "inflation". That is, the point requirements change every year, typically needing more points per room night.

Overall, most think that the value for these exchanges are not as good as your DVC resort reservations. But it is an option. I'm using points this fall for the Disneyland hotel. And since I'm a fairly recent buyer (bought in 2003) the point exchange is about a break even for me. Just extends the time required for me to break even on my DVC purchase. Sorry for the long explanation, but hopefully it helps.

Thanks for the info. I am new to all this. We go to Disneyland or Disney World every year. This is the first time we actually bought points from someone to stay at OKW and BWV. I think that it is an exceptional deal. I can't wait for this summer. The reason why I asked about the point exchange is pretty much for next year. I've been trying to get my brothers to take their familes to Disney. I don't think I can get them to Florida. We always stay at the Disneyland Hotel in CA. My brother is how shall we say "thrifty" when it comes to vacation. If I can find a really good deal, he'll go. I just thought I might get more for my money buying points. I just wanted to know how many points that hotel would be in probably late July beginning of Aug. Do you know? Sorry, for my long reply! Steph

My reservation this October at the Disneyland hotel, standard room, value season Sun-Fri required 31 points per night. Almost 4 times what a studio at OKW would require.

Regards,
