Am I the only one who is happy with the changes? Its much more cost effective (points wise) to include weekends on a trip now. so the vacation can get started earlier.

I am with you. For us, airfare from Syracuse can be a lot cheaper to fly to/from on Tuesdays and Wednesday. This would always put Fri/Sat nights as part of our trip.

Now, with the change in points at BLT, it saves me 10 points from 2010. I like that I don't have to worry so much about things.

And, if we ever want to travel for a long weekend, it will save us a great deal. Our goal is to do a long weekend in the fall or early December, every other year and this will really help to do this, without having to borrow.

Net effect appears to be that for weekday and weekend nights for most times they have now managed to make a change of more than 20% total over a two year period and thus this looks like a planned change over two years that was designed to avoid the rule that a greater than 20% change in any given year had to go to a member vote.
