DVC Perks Parking included? DL Hotel

I just booked my first trip as DVC member at the Grand Californian hotel at DL. What extras do we have to pay? Is valet parking included?

Good question. We're staying at the GCH hotel in August using points. I wonder if we get free valet parking as it won't be a DVC location yet at that point?

We stayed with a car there on points a couple years back and as I recall we did have to pay for the valet parking. We usually do not have a car when we stay there and take a town car from the airport.

I stayed there last year. Self parking is included, as well as internet on points stays. If you make a cash reservation, there is a daily "resort fee" that pays for these. Valet is extra in either case.

Thanks for the info. I spent my extra cash buying into the DVC trying to save now! Has anyone stayed in the Standard View?

We just stayed in a park view on rented points, we self parked (across the street). Our view was awesome! But, no extra fees were involved. She even gave us a DVC discount at Whitewater snacks, which I didn't notice until I was back in my room. Also, I think some restaurants offer DVC discounts.
We had a great time, that resort is beautiful!
