If you are dining at the Riviera as a DVC member staying at BLT do you need to pay to park? We always had TIW so never had to pay. Everything’s so changed now, so need to find out about this. Thanks for the help.

No, we stayed at BCV and only had to mention our Topolinos ADR, which they did check, and parked.

You are only charged for parking at any resort if the car stays overnight on a cash reservation. DVC members staying on points don not have to pay.

Or if you are parking above and beyond an ADR.

Otherwise, everyone and their dog would be parking at Boardwalk.

TIW gave free valet parking when dining. There has never been a charge for daily parking at resorts.

They are pretty strict at RIV so will let you in to park after confirming you do have a reservation for breakfast or dinner.

There’s no way to charge for day parking currently. It’s not like a public lot where you pull a ticket on entry and pay at either a pay station or at the exit.

Being able to park at RIV is dependent on what "Dining at Riviera" means. If it means you have an ADR at Topolino's, then yes you can park there. The firm rules say something about an hour or two before and after your ADR, but I don't think they enforce the after the reservation time. As far as before, if you showed at 8AM for a 6PM reservation, YMMV. If you are planning to dine at the bar, Primo Piatto, or get snacks at La Petit Cafe, I doubt they will let you park there. The rule is you need an ADR. The monorail, skyliner, and Epcot resorts are pretty strict on this. You need to really get lucky at the guard shack to be let in without a room or ADR at those resorts.

If you are use to TIW, note you do NOT get free valet parking without it.
