We will be arriving at the WL Copper Creek Cabins in early June, and I'd like to have some groceries waiting for us when we get there, either at bell services, or delivered to the cabin itself. I thought that there was a discussion thread on current delivery options, but I can't seem to find it.

I'm asking here because the answer may be specific to DVC accommodations?

I'm talking about things like a case of water, some soft drinks, some snacks, a few perishables (for breakfasts), and maybe an alcoholic beverage such as wine or Saki.

Thanks for any help!

On our stay at BWV last week, we ordered both from Publix via Instacart and Whole Foods (direct using Amazon Prime benefits of free delivery on orders over $35). We had to meet the Instacart driver in person because there was alcohol in the order and he needed to check ID. Whole Foods dropped our order at Bell Services as instructed (we were charged a $6 fee by the resort - worth it to me), and we picked that up with our checked luggage when our room became available. Not sure if Whole Foods would be able to drop at Bell Services if the order contained alcohol. I would use both services again.

I've used Amazon Prime Now (a different app from Amazon) to order groceries, you can order from Whole Foods or some sort of an Amazon Warehouse (or both). It worked out well. They delivered to Bell Services. But I did not order alcohol. I imagine you'd have to be present when the order arrives for alcohol.

I have used Dizzy Dolphin in the past and they were great! I am usually cautious when purchasing produce selected by someone else, but I thought bananas would be harmless - they were great! The gave a variety of bananas that were ready to eat right away and some that needed a day or two to ripen which was perfect for our weeklong stay. The meats were great quality and they packaged everything up nicely - chips were not smashed, cookies were not crumbled, etc. I highly recommend them.

Instacart from Publix and Aldi for us. Works like a charm. In the notes section on Instacart we added a note to leave to with bell services. Had no issues. Over our trip we had 2 orders, we got charged the 6 dollar fee for one delivery but not the other?!

If you want booze, Garden Grocer is very good. You can upload a photo of your driver's license when you place the order, and they will then happily leave your entire order (including the booze) with the bell desk. Another thing that impressed me about Garden Grocer is that for our most recent stay, I accidentally ordered 6 bags of apples when I meant to order 6 apples. Somebody at GG thought it seemed a bit strange and called me to verify before we left for FL so I was able to correct the order.

That is great to know about GG and the photo upload of your license. Prime Now WILL NOT drop off an order with alcohol. Bell services at BWV once told me “We’ll sign for you, you don’t need to be here” even after I shared there was alcohol in the order, but the driver would not leave the order without me being present with my ID. I’ll look into GG when I go in July, we usually get our groceries delivered our first day, but I don’t necessarily like always being locked in to be at my hotel at a specific time on our first day. Thanks for the tip!

We stayed at CCV in February and used Dizzy Dolphin and LOVED them! Bought a small chicken fingers platter to nosh on for breakfast -which was DELICIOUS, and ordered lots of wine, (Also uploaded my license ahead of time so the wine was left for us) bottled water, distilled water, sodas, etc and it was WONDERFUL!

Our flight was delayed but I got a text that morning that all items were delivered and WL put them in the fridge for us and we picked up our stuff on the way to our room - it was great!

We used Garden Grocer for years but what we liked about DD was that you create your own grocery list with the specific items/brands you wanted - unlike others that only offer certain brands/flavors so if you don't like what they offer you're out of luck. DH wanted specific wine for the evenings, and with DD I could specify what brand/red and he was thrilled!

Hello All,

This is my first time posting, so please bear with me if the answers to my questions are common knowledge to most.

Having groceries delivered is convenient and a time/money saver. I believe someone mentioned DW placed a few items in the fridge. Is this common practice, or was an employee being nice by utilizing a refrigerator in the break room?

I would likely order multiple items that would need to be kept cold. ( Yogurt, OJ, Lunch Meat, Cheese etc. ) A little unsure what to expect.

Thnx in advance!

Bell Services at the resorts have refrigerators for grocery storage. But space may be limited, so I would retrieve them ASAP. Delivery companies also may include some blue ice packs to help keep food cool. I know thee were some blue ice packs in the stuff I ordered through Amazon Prime Now.

Don’t worry. We’ve been doing this for years and for longer stays we will order multiple half-gallon milk containers, yogurts, containers of fruit, OJ, and so on, and there has never been a problem keeping everything refrigerated.

Wait, you ordered food that was delivered to the resort and they charged you a $6 fee? Did they deliver to your room? What resort? I don't believe BCV or BWV has ever charged a fee if Garden Grocer dropped off food and we picked it up at Bell Services. Naturally we would provide a tip if they then delivered to the room. Of course it has been over a year since being there and maybe due to COVID they are now charging.

We have used Dizzy Dolphin several times now and really like them. They have always had our groceries waiting at the resort for us with a text letting us know they were delivered. Dizzy Dolphin is locally owned and they are also DVC members. So easy to work with also. They also deliver alchol with the order and their website explains this process, I highly recommend them...smjj...ºoº

If it is dropped with bell service, unless it has changed, there is no charge. But if you have them bring it to your room there is a $6 charge. That started a couple years ago or so. It may be they are not charging $6 for any groceries held by Bell Services, since some things need to be refrigerated and/or frozen in moist orders. The $6, btw, was in addition to a normal tip for bell services. The $6 is a resort services fee.

Does Bell services no longer have the option of bringing it to your room? (I recognize there is a fee for this).

Yes, they will bring them to your room. There is a resort fee of $6 for this, plus bell services tip is appropriate.

As always, you must be present in your room to get your delivery from bell services, the only time they entered an unoccupied room was to deliver the Magical Express luggage...and that luggage service is not\w longer available.

I really appreciate this info - we have a food allergy kid and rely on specific trusted brands, so knowing they will respect those choices is so important!

I've had good experiences with Dizzy Dolphin and Garden Grocer over the years. Had a bad experience with Instacart last visit.
