DVC online ?

We just joined a few weeks ago. I booked 2 rooms at AKV for Oct. They were the last 2 available and on opposite sides. They made 2 waitlist bookings as well. To move the rooms closer together. They said whichever came open first would move the rooms closer and cancel the other WL.

Today I got our pins in the mail. Our 2 studios are booked, but there is no WL listed? Does that mean we got it, or are they typically not listed or listed somewhere else?

Waitlists are not shown on the member website. If they do become confirmed reservations, they will then appear.

Do they assign you to an actual room when you make your reservation? I thought it was only at check in...

No, the rooms are assigned by the resort. In terms of the online reservation, if you look at vacation details, you should see all of your reservation. If a waitlist comes through, you will see the old reservation canceled and the new one entered.

Perhaps they have a std and a savannah view?

Do they assign you to an actual room when you make your reservation? I thought it was only at check in...

MS said they had 2 savannah views available, but they were on opposite wings. I have no idea how she knew where they were. Thats what she told me. She said she waitlisted the wings for them to be together.

They also had standard and value available, but we wanted SV

Maybe I need to call back and question more?

I just logged back into my acct. I wanted to check and make sure I wasn't making a mistake. Here is what both rooms read:

I tried calling MS. I didn't realize they close at 5:30. I will try again tmw. They specifically told me the 2 SV rooms were available, but were not close to each other, but on opposite wings. So she said I was placed on 2 waitlists to move them closer together. I just thought maybe they booked by wing?

Please report back after you talk to MS. I can't figure out how they know now that the rooms you will occupy in Oct. will be in opposite wings.

What is Ded?
I guess that is what makes them not be close together?

What is Ded?
I guess that is what makes them not be close together?

Ded = Dedicated. It does not have a connecting door to another unit.

ok so how do they know its not near (a few doors down the hall, for example) from the other studio?

I still don't understand. She said they would be "far apart"

The lady at MS didn't understand. However, our waitlist had apparently come through as both rooms are now dedicated. She said I should call a few days in advance (because of accessibility for my daughter). Just to "double check".

We booked WL in May! Yipee! May and october! I am excited!

All of the 2 bedroom units in Jambo House are lock-offs.
