DVC on TV Again Today!! -- Extreme Home Makeover

I was talking on the phone so I had put the TV on mute so I'm not sure what the family's story was....it looked like they had sextuplets about 3 years old and an older boy. They were sent to WDW while they worked on their home.

Well, all of a sudden I see Florence Henderson knocking on a door....I recognize that door...that's an OKW door.

Sure enough, she goes in and I think she was the "babysitter" while the parents had a night out. (Yeah right, I'm sure she really babysat. ) They had a lot of shots of the living room area of the villa. It was a two-bedroom, not a Grand Villa.

Anyone see the show? Got any more detail on what was happening? Anyone see this family down at OKW....with a stroller for 6 they are kind of obvious. LOL!

Tomorrow is the "how'd they do that" edition of the show...I sure hope we see more of our "home"!!!

I saw the show! They had sextuplets and an older son. I had just come back into the living room and I saw Florence Henderson in the room and was trying to figure out which resort it was. I figured it had to be a DVC resort! They didn't show much of it though, so I coudn't really tell which one. The showed the couple eating dinner (couldn't tell where though) and they showed them watching Illuminations!
BTW, they did a really amazing job on designing that new house for the family!

Pam, I missed it, and I really wanted to see it! My husbands aunt lives in Birmingham, where I think these people were from. I think that they were at WDW in early Feb. when we were there. She told us to look for them!! Ha. She said it was all over the local news what extreme home was doing to their house while they were gone. Hopefully they will rerun the show sometime in the future, I really wanted to see it!

I saw this show too and commented that they were staying at OKW. They have the follow-up show on Monday night in the Northeast called "How'd They Do That?". They might show the resort again.

I saw it! Good thing those babies are under 3, or they'd have been over the max. occupancy LOL...

Anyhow, the couple was eating at the California Grill & watched the fireworks from there...

I'm sure Florence had plenty of help with all those babies!

How'd they do that is on tonight & I'm definitely watching!

I saw the show last night! I had just commented that I wonder where they put a family of nine at WDW & there was OKW ! It was an updated room - I noticed the two different fabrics on the couch in the living room. I'm looking forward to tonight's "How'd they do that?" show.

I live north of Birmingham and there were stories in our paper all week long while Extreme Home Makeover was working on their house. It seems like it was only last month so they got the editting done pretty quick to get the show on the air. If I would have known the Muppets were going to be there too, I would have made the drive down.

We were SOOO excited to see OKW on the show last night! We thought it made sense that they lodged them there because of all the little kids. My daughter said "I know that couch!" We love OKW.

I think the parents' dinner out was at California Grill. There were fireworks going off in the background so I think that was it. We'll be watching tonight for more WDW footage because... WE LEAVE THURSDAY FOR SPRING BREAK!!!

I dont think that was a vacation, I have 3 kids of three different ages, I cant imagine doing disney with 7 kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, even if you get a new house out of the deal

I said "they're sending them to Disney with six two year olds? what are they, nuts? one two year old is tough enough there!" I have nothing against taking little ones...but it really sounded like it wouldnt' be much of a vacation for those parents. I hope they were given lots of help.

I was trying to see which room they had....looked just like the 1br lockoff we had in 2002. Did anyone see? I think we had 4323. I don't know why but I watch for stuff like that. Just this past december at VWL we had the room directly below the room Samantha Brown toured during her Great Hotels episode.

I only watched it for awhile on Monday night. Did you see the cart that was used as a stroller? It was something like our supermarket has, a huge plastic cart. My heart goes out to that family. I'm sure there are heartwarming times, and many blessings, but there are so many little ones to keep an eye on.
