FWIW: someone is selling their dvc on ebay. 190 points at OKW for $10100, and 190 points at BWV for $11200. Both items currently have 1 bid.

Also, a couple of those VWL pins are on ebay. One is currently at $16.05, and another is at $21.05.

any idea how you would do a closing on that?

it would be pretty easy to do the closing on the packages... All you have to do is contact the title place down there (forget their name offhand).... These are really great prices for 190 points....

It works out to 53 a pt.for OKW and 58 for BWV,that is a great price. But I'd be a little leary of doing a purchase that large over E-bay.

Using an escrow company or an attourney would get rid of any chances of deception. The VAST majority of EBAY sellers and buyers are honest pople. Even most of the bad stories that you do hear about are overzealous sellers or buyers with unrealistic expectations.

Using and escrow agent and/or an attourney with his escrow account will eliminate any chance of any problems at all. The seller would be able to save real serious money and he can offer his package for less then the price that he would need to get when the commission a resale broker would charge is added in.

I think that with a small amount of care, it could very easily be a pian free transaction.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs", Karl Marx, pretty sick, huh?

Would Disney still have to approve these? It doesn't sound like they are approving much under 55/pt. I would be so skeptical of a sale on Ebay. I have been stung a few times on there, so certainly wouldn't want to deal on something that big!

If you are going to purchase a timeshare directly from the seller without the assistance of a broker I would recommend using the Timeshare Closing Service. Their phone number is 407-370-2373. It is my understanding they will make sure the property has a clear title and handle all the recording of related paperwork i.e., deed, etc. When I purchsed my Disney BWV through the timeshare store they used the above service which was satisfactory. My accountant advised me when he sold his timeshare in Aruba he did not use a broker or an escrow service. He deal directly with the seller and he reported everything went smooth. I am interested in buying another timeshare on the west coast of Florida and I plan to use an escrow service to ensure clear title, etc. Good luck

I would say these deals are just average at best now when you figure in the current years dues and the lack of 2000 points and even some 2001 points for the OKW package. I calculate current costs of $62 a point for OKW and $69 a point for BWV. Seems about what resale is running before you pay thecost of an escrow attorney and you take the risk of e-bay. Just my .02.
