I am Disneyland veteran many times over. My first WDW trip 3 weeks ago was awsome! I was truely amazed at the size and area of WDW. A close friend of mine who is a CM at DL was working at AK for the summer. He and his family have been DVC members since its inception..95? anyway they encouraged me to meet with a DVC guide and just check it out. I had some timeshare experience as a former PT employee of one in CA. Lets just say I came home with 160 SSR points and am as happy as a clam at high tide! Anyway, my question is that many of you on this board seem to make several trips a year. I am just curious get an idea of which part of the country you are from and how many trips and days you usually do a year? I am a teacher and coach in CA and probably can only do 1 a year from the west coast each summer.
Thanks for sharing all the info both prior to my buying in and after!
Mike

Hi jazzmanmgt, and WELCOME to the DIS boards!
This is a fun place where you will learn a lot about Disney, and your DVC membership. It also works good for those of us who can't sleep!

I live in Connecticut, and we visit WDW twice a year. We stay at the Vero Beach Resort for three or four days, then head over to WDW for about eight more days.
I hope to visit more often in the future, but that's where I'm at for now.
My wife actually makes us drive to Florida, as she is afraid to fly.

Again, Welcome!

We go to WDW once a year and try a trade the other vacation. You have many options for trades in CA and the area. Many say trades are not the best use of points but it has worked for us. We have stayed at several Marriott timeshares and gone to NYC and Washington on points. Congrats on your decision and welcome home.

We're probably going about 3 times over two years, about 1.5 times per year. We're also taking extended family members with us. It varies. Sometimes we get in twoce a year, but we are driving from Ohio. Too bad there isn't a DVC resort associated with California Adventure & DL seems like there should be to provide some additional west coast options.

At some point and time we were all newbies here. Congrats and ask all the questions you want. As you will find out, we all love to give our points of view......lol.

Congratulations and Welcome Home :)

We are from Pa and travel to WDW three times per year now. Two stays are for a week each and one a bit shorter.
