DVC Mike Live from BWV/SSR (3/7-3/15/09)

Hey Mike, I just wanted to say one last time, thanks a million for making my day. You didn't have to take the time out of your vacation to do that for me, it just was so nice. I hope you have the best vacation ever.:)

No problem, Jillpie. I'm just glad it brightened your day.

I am amazed at your very relaxing Disney Vacation! Love the way you do this! I must ask... right now with 5 kids for us ages 17 to 7 we will be excited to get there and let the kids enjoy all attractions they love over anything else- My motive for buying into DVC included that but also excatly the way yur wife and you vacation- How long had you been a DVC owner before you all started traveling there so relaxed? I really envy your style! & love the pics!

In the beginning, I was pushing my DW to get up every morning so I could be at a park at the rope drop. We'd hit a park every single day. I almost needed a vacation after my Disney vacation.

I typically spend 4 weeks a year at Disney (although this year and last year it's going to be 5 weeks). When you spend so much time here, and when you don't have any children, going to the parks and riding all the attractions becomes less urgent. You begin thinking, "oh, if we miss this ride we'll just hit it the next time".

Our Disney vacations have become a relaxing retreat from the stress of work. I very much look forward to them!

What a wonderfully nice man you are, Mike!

I'm also glad to see you vacation the way we like to....make the early ressies, and just let Disney "happen" while you are there!

That's a great way to put it.

Enjoy your trip, Mike! Thanks for the live reports

You know, I totally agree! Our trip back in December was our first as DVC members, but our 4th in 4 years. Yet, somehow, this one was different. It was so much more relaxing, and even with kids, we did only the things we liked, and figured, whatever we don't do this time, there's always next time. In previous years, it seemed like we were on the go the whole time, and often felt like we needed vacation after our Disney vacation. Even my DH commented on how relaxed he felt (which believe me, is a big accomplishment). It's nice not to have to feel like you need to do everything while you're there!

Enjoy you time, DVC Mike, and thanks for the live trip report! Love it!

The rehab of SAB at YC/BC is underway in sections. Currently, the only section closed off is the part in front of the YC.

We'll be staying at the BWV after Thanksgiving. My DS will be 4 then and I wondered if you could take some pictures of the playground at BWV. I didn't know they had a playground until I noticed what appeared to be a playground when looking at one of those sites like google earth and I haven't been able to find any pictures.

Here's a look at the playground at BWV.

Thanks, Mike. If you run into any maintenance guys in the hallway, would you ask them about a projected beginning date for room rehabs? In January they told me it would be May but it would be interesting to know if that date has changed.
I have been watching weather.com and it looks perfect every day for you! Enjoy!

What a fun first night for your neighbors who have never been to WDW. I'm sure they'll have a great time with you! Looks like another beautiful day for you. :goodvibes

Mike, I had to laugh at your picture of the BWV playground. My 4yo DS came over to the computer and went ballistic. He remembers it well from our stay there last October. He asks every morning "Can we go to Disney World today?" Looking at your great photos makes me wish that August would hurry up and get here! :goodvibes Thanks!

How are your neighbors enjoying WDW?? They have an expert tour guide

Took the boat to OKW.
