DVC Merry Mixer

Try asking your guide. Our guide sent us two, after DH called to ask for information that a friend wanted to know. This friend was thinking of buying DVC. Our guide passed along a few duplicate pins and ornaments.

Your Guide is an exception and I'm afraid that others may be disappointed. Guides are there to sell, not to distribute pins and ornaments.

We have had several Guides over the years and early on they were much more open to doing extra. Now many of the Guides don't even work at WDW, they work from home and from the DVD offices in Celebration. They don't have access to the extras even if they wanted to mail you something.

We went today and it was very fun. Got some cookies and drinks and let the kiddos do crafts. There was also character photos in their holiday dress. Got my ornament. Happy girl!!

Today's mixer was much more fun than last weeks. I guess they figured they'd better get the adults involved. :)

The only date I can make the Mixer is Dec. 15th but we also fly home that day at 6pm out of MCO. We are staying at Saratoga Springs so I'm not sure if we have enough time to get back to the resort, even if we took a cab. I would really love to get the ornament but it seems like the timing would be just too tight.

Just so you are aware there isn't one on the 15th, it's the 16th, but perhaps you just had a typo.

What kind of crafts? DD2 1/2 LOOOOOOOVES to do "arts and crafts." It holds her attention for hours; no joke.

Yup, sorry it was a typo, I meant the 16th!

I think we are going to that. Hubby knows a lot more of the details of our trip than I do.

I am a firm believer in making Disney plans as early as possible and forgetting about it. I can then say...oh we are going to the Candlelight Processional tonight, how lovely!

Maybe we'll see you there!

We plan on stopping in on the 16th, as well. I mainly want to get the ornament but my son does like crafts. It sounds like fun! We have the Candlelight Processional Dining package that day also. I can't wait!

And are you taking ME? Their pick ups are usually around 3 hours in advance of your flight and if that's 6PM then I can't see how you could make it work. :sad2:

Yes, we are taking ME back to MCO so that's why I'm thinking we won't be able to make the Mixer. We do have Clear cards that will bypass the airport security lines but needing to check a bag and other possible hiccups makes this seem risky.

I didn't make it to the Mixer but they did hand out the same ornaments on the Dream at the Member Presentation on the first day. :cool1:
